Well...Hello there!! My name is MoM T and let me tell you a little something about how I love to invent new recipes and create what I call "magic in the kitchen". In my experience, the #1 key to cooking and becoming what society believes to be a "good cook" is having great taste buds. If you don't know something tastes good, how would you be able to create it? Everyone has the potential of having great taste buds, you just have to be willing to try everything! So, get out your tasting spoons because tasting is creating! I have a lot of creations in my head that I have had trouble writing out into recipes because, "it's a little of this", "no.. wait! a little more", "oh darn, it definitely needs more of that"! But, that is with all cooking. Everyone likes it a little different. Why do you think there is "salt and pepper" on every table, whether dining in or out? Growing up in my parents home, my mother used this tasting method in the kitchen, when I used to watch her cook. She even had a ceramic spoon holder for her spoon. No, not her stirring spoon, her tasting spoon! Don't get disturbed by us women, tasting the food, either. We women believe we have NO GERMS!! I dedicate a lot of my ideas and taste for food to my mother. She knew how to create and definitely got the taste right! Thanks Mom! Also, the many cultures of recipes to my father. He cooked Indonesian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and many others. My dad knows and grows his own exotic hottest, but tasty peppers! From his Ajumas to his Madame Jeanette's and many more! I grew up with the spiciest of entree's to liver and onions looking and smelling appetizing! Yuck! Not for my taste buds! My mother brought Italian to the home and through the years, with my own family, I have practiced different Italian creations that I have managed to perfect into recipes. I have a few that I would love to share with you! So, I hope you stick around, because I have many tricks and treats up my sleeve that will keep your family coming back for more!
